My haven. The shrine of all things special in the Agoura grocery world.
Imported foods from Italy as well as the bottled and canned drinks you can't find in other shops. They aren't all there, but the ones I always want are. Some drinks include San Pellegrino canned and bottled flavors, several flavors of Sweet Leaf teas, and Mexican, bottled, no-corn-syrup Coca Cola. Drink up. For the older folk, there's also an aisle of wines.

They make good filling sandwiches, in my opinion. They have exquisite desserts made at the deli, as well. Cannoli, Mexican Wedding Cookies (rivaling my old recipe,) biscotti, etc. Most of the cookies and things can be put in these beautiful pink boxes.

Their spinach lasagna is a good thing to order if I can't decide on anything. It's hearty and a very well-sized serving if you're hungry. And it's vegetarian, so more people can enjoy it. There's also a meat option.

You can place phone orders, take a menu, buy candy and olive oil-- I CAN'T PUT INTO WORDS. Simply go there. (Credit cards accepted are shown in a picture below.)

From their website:
Each day, on our premises,
we bake the best Italian rolls and bread...
from scratch!
Get them hot! Get them early!
Hungry for a sandwich? Try one on a “hard” roll.
We also carry a broad range of Imported Italian groceries
including Durum Wheat Pasta, Imported San Marzano Tomatoes, Extra Virgin Olive Oil,
25-Year-Old Balsamic Vinegar,
Imported Olives, Italian Beer and Wine.
Do you miss those Italian Delis in New York?
Our Deli section will take you back. We showcase meats and
cheeses like Prosciutto Di Parma, Mortadella, Boar's Head Brand® Turkeys and Hams, Reggiano Parmigiano, Aged Soresina Provolone, Pecorino Romano, fresh caprese and much more.

I set my camera on "white fluorescent light.."

A SECTION of the fridges. Those are my things in the corner: parasol, bags.

A SNIPPET of the drinks.

The aisles. There are three of them in total, these being two.

The cheeses and such! Cannoli and cheesecake are in this window, if you're looking during July 2012.

Chinotto flavor soda of the myrtle-leaf orange, what I would call the prodigal child of all San Pellegrino drinks.

Some of their packages cookies and candy. They used to have just bags of Anise candy, but now things are separated somewhere else in the store. They sell a different brand now, in it's brand packaging. When they're back in stock, they sell assorted Italian hard candies, which are to get punched for.

A picture taken from the third aisle, which is a half aisle. The other half is the start of the deli section.
You can see the Italian Nutella here, which is around $5. It IS more expensive, but that's because Europe somehow makes their Nutella not only softer, but just.. better? Okay, that wasn't the best justification, but you should honestly go to Nice, France like I did and try! Yeah, that's right.

Those yellow bags hold the most interesting citrus candies in the shapes of citrus slices. Chances are, they don't use corn syrup. I haven't checked, but most sweets made in Europe (especially the sodas,) won't use corn syrup. Also, US meat is banned in France. Talk about cool!

Their in-store menu, which is hung behind the counter.

Hey, he said a Kardashian girl took a picture of the cookie tray and it got millions of attentioniers, so I had to take a better one!

I just realised she's in the shot! They're a great bunch of people.

Get the best baguettes in a 30 mile radius for $3 each. This is their bread tray by 3pm on the Monday I went. You'll find ALL of these if you go when their open, 96% of the time. There's never a real shortage.

The cookies you can ask to put in a box. The Wedding Cookies/Snowballs aren't there now, but they switch things up.

I dined during my photographing adventure.

Lucky me, they accept American Express!

Their coffee menu. Tired of Tifa? (Which hasn't been proven to me yet!) Get over here!

The Few Goods of SweetXO
Many people, such as myself, make negative comments on the bittersweet topic of SweetXO. I have my reasons: When Blockbuster was to be replaced by another store, I had hoped a record store or a pastry shop would lease the building. When a candy store did, I was excited. But the theme, music, and pricing ruined it for me. It's targeted towards a group of people I really have come to despise.
But there are the twinkling scraps of aluminum foil in the candy store accident that is SweetXO.

Their candy cord is quite fine. And I heard that their ice cream and soda prices were okay. I just don't know about the taste, yet.

The back of SweetXO, across from Maral Cuisine (a.ka. Char Fasl/Four Seasons) and Yum Yum Donuts.

I made a joke earlier about their hold policy. I put candy on hold and everything, but I didn't come back for it until the next day. Even though it was in a wrapped up bag on one of the counters, they had to throw it out because of their policy. It had been a day since the candy was taken out.
So would bagged candy put on hold in the last 30 minutes of store hours just be placed on top of the dumpster?
